Cold Water Escapades

? 8/27/2005 - New Shipwreck

Someone in my neck of the woods found a new wreck.  Its amazing how we are still finding these.  While the great lakes may be cold (those are surface temps), there are certainly many cool shipwrecks to dive

? 8/28/2005 - Great Lakes Shipwreck show

Posted by BlowinBubbles
I caught a show a couple weeks ago and tivo'd it. I think it was on Discovery. It was great, focused on wrecks in Lake Huron. I've seen several of these shows, but this was one I hadn't seen before. I spent a couple months in Michigan once, I wasn't a drysuit diver then and didn't get to explore any of the wrecks but it looks like an amazing place.

Just an aside on your gear issues. It took me a couple of years to get all my gear. I purchased it piece by piece. In hindsight, I wished I'd have financed it and just gotten it out of the way. You will dive so much more. But get what you want, and what's good. Buying second rate stuff doesn't let you appreciate diving, and you just end up upgrading and spending more money in the long run.
