And I'm going next summer. YIPPEEE! Other than that, I really want to go to Truk Lagoon, and that will be my next big trip, maybe in '07 or '08. Of course, what I really want to do is to take a month and go to Truk, Yap, Palau, the Phillipines, and Bikini Atoll. So if I ever get a spare $30,000 or so, that's my plan. Island hop thru Asia diving.

all the Catalina Islands in the world, Galapagos, kelp forests of Chile, Fernando de Noronha, Abrolhas, Las Roques, Cocos, kelp forests of South Africa, Red Sea, Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, Aliwal Shoals, Madagascar, kelp forests of Australia, Ningaloo Reef, Antarctica, any tropical island... and so on, and on, and on! $30,000 to island hop Asia? Believe me, it can be done for much less! I spent 70 days backpacking and diving SE Asia, Australia-NZ and the South Pacific for $4,500 including airfare, diving and gifts for family and friends! Truk liveaboard alone is over three grand. Bikini for a week is comparable. A month off work. Airfare over there and back. Hotel while I"m not on a liveaboard, and island hopping. Thirty may be too high, but I'm willing to bet it's over twenty. Someday...when I'm rich... :)
