I grew up near Durban and remember many, many sessions with the Natal Sharks Board as part of my school life. I will never forget them dissecting a white in front of us; it was so big and huge I swore vehemently I would never, ever go near the ocean again.
Since then I've gained a very healthy love-respect sort of admiration for the sharks, but I really don't think I ever want to encounter one live. Ever. I am very much in awe of your photos and apparent enthusiasm to dive with them, and would just like to inform you that i think you are crazy (in the nicest way possible!!!).
So yeah. Great photos & remarkable fish - it's crazy people like you that mean weak and wussy people like me can enjoy the magnificence of sharks without the need to get up close and personal, so thanks!!!
That hand on the snout thing -- who's the dude that's (in)famous for swimming with GWs and lifting their heads out of the water? Is that his hand/yours/someone else's??
