Manta, manta, manta10/11/2007

How's it going, everybody?

Due to today's north wind, we had rough ocean at "Kabira Ishizaki manta ray scramble". But it was enough worth to go there,@over five manta rays approached us very closely several times. Despite of occasional big wave, now is good season for enjoying to watch manta ray.

We are looking forward to seeing how many manta ray there are tomorrow.

Good bye

Crocodile fish10/2/2007

How's it going, everybody?

Attach photo is "Crocodile fish" that could be watched in our today's third dive at Yonehara south.

Sometimes we got question about what difference is between "Enma gochi (Japanese name) Cymbacephalus beauforti" and "Wani gochi (Japanese name) Inegocia guttata". According to our Japanese divers' bible "Nihon no Kaisuigyo (Sea fish of Japan) http://www.yamakei.co.jp/products/detail.php?id=90270 " by Yama-Kei Publishers, Enma gochi (Japanese name) Cymbacephalus beauforti has a dent backside of eyes and dermal flaps on eyes. So it is "Enma gochi (Japanese name) Cymbacephalus beauforti".

This fish is certainly alike to crocodile.

Good bye

Very very clear!!8/27/2007

How's it going, everybody?

When our "First dive" (Umicoza's main diving boat) departed from Kabira bay, inside the bay water visibility was not good. And we jumped into water at first dive point "Yamabare" with our doubt "Today's visibility was not good??".

Wow, water was very very clear. The visibility was over 30m. Pure blue water and white sandy bottom, they had good contrast and we felt strongly this was real Ishigaki island.

Today's photo is Ms. and Mr. Kurosaki who got married in this Mach. We hope their happy new life.

Good bye

Oh, my god!4/24/2007

How's it going, everybody?

Today in here Ishigaki Kabira we had a bit strong south wind before noon. When we enjoyed lunch after first dive, wind stopped and then cool air came. Wind direction was changed and north wind started. Weather forecast also predicted this wind, but I was nervous about this phenomenon, typical sign of sudden strong storm in spring season. Fortunately, after that we could enjoy diving in Kabira.

This photo is today's guests.

Good bye!

To cure "No manta ray shock" by magic4/18/2007

How's it going, everybody?

Today weather in Ishigaki Kabira absolutely change from yesterday's good condition, it was windy and high wave day. To cure daytime shock "No manta ray", I enjoyed magic show with our staffs at Ishigaki seaside hotel in Kabira in the evening.

Photo1: Ms. Shiraishi and Mr. Mishio got on a car without "no manta ray shock" in their faces.

Photo2: Splendiferous magic live

How's it going, everybody?

Today, we submerged bamboo and palm in the ocean to create fish-breeding reef. Every year in this season we make this artificial fish living space in same place, so we can watch so many kinds of species. What species come here in this time??

Of course this is Umicoza original diving point, feel free to request us!!

Good bye!
