23/5/2007 - Fijian Fish #2 - Ecsenius fijiensis, 1988

Fiji Clown Blenny.

A relative newcomer on the scientific classification index, if you Google this guy's Latin name you will get a remarkably low number of hits - less than 1000 (compared with Triaenodon obesus for example, which gets over 30,000). A Good Goggler that spots this fish, common in Fiji, will therefore be one of only a few that has knowingly seen this fish in the wild.

Gogglers with keen eyes and clear goggles may spot that members of this species actually come in a couple of different colour variations...

Fiji Clown Blenny, red variation.

Are they like chameleons, as these seem to blend with their backgrounds nicely? Or are they just born to match their surroundings in a darwinian sort of way?

I think that to receive the loan from banks you ought to have a firm motivation. However, once I have received a short term loan, because I was willing to buy a building.
