6/27/2006 - Back in the zone
So after almost a month of dry-dock due to various reasons, I finally managed to get "wet" a few times in the last week. Unfortuantely an untimely chest infection has meant that my diving was limited this weekend (only three dives instead of six) but I did manage to do one of the most beautiful night dives I have ever done.
The sponge life was AMAZING, and the colour... WOW. Really. I didn't take my camera with me, and I'm really, really regretting that fact. I had to drive over two hours to get to this site, and it was an "Unknown" site at best. I also had to *gasp* PAY for the dive (which, to me, is unheard of because of my line of work!) and I would pay again for that dive any day of the week. Of course, it was a private charter (a friend of a friend who happened to own a boat) and we just had to cover petrol, but it was SO BEAUTIFUL.
Anyway just a quick update to let you all know that yes, I AM still alive (though my lungs are begging otherwise!) and I'm aiming to get a more detailed update in the very near future, however we are a "one computer" household and several members of the household are clamouring for a go on the keyboard!
