August 21, 2008 - Another Business Award Nomination!

Just after I made that Last entry we were notified that we have been nominated for another award. This one being the Toukley Business Chamber Awards. Not as big I know but an honor just the same.

We had the juding panel come in and visit today at the Scuba Shack in Toukley so lets hope they love it as much as my members and customers do.

Scuba Shack didnt win the Central Coast Small Business Awards this year but we were named as one of Three Finalists this year out of over 30000 entries so thats a great effort I reckon1

To all those who have nominated Scuba Shack Toukley for the Central Coast Business Awards. The awards ceremony is tonight so wish us luck.

We have been told that most of the comments on the nomination forms were Offers excellent Customer Service, great friendly atmosphere etc etc.... SO THANKS EVERYONE!

7/16/2008 - Best Byron Bay Dive EVER!!!!

Devocean Dive Club Dive to Julian Rocks with our good buddies at Byron Bay Dive.
Before we even got into the water it was a perfect day.

We saw had a humpback about 50m off the bow and a school of mantas on the surface. Even if we saw nothing under water, it was still fantastic.

There were so many sharks I didn't know what to do. We saw this one in Turtle Trench.

Next thing I know I see all these shadows in the distance. I swam up to the ledge and there were 6 Grey Nurse Sharks. This short video catches 4 of them.

June 21, 2008 - Getting a makeover for Scuba SHack

MAKE OVER
Well its that time of year again when the weather isnt brilliant and the storms are messing everything up!, I have once again decided to give the shop a make over.

So far i have added in the White Slat Walling, built a new Fill area, painted walls, and laid a floating floor in the training room. Its all looking really nice. Soon we will have a brand new counter that will resemble an island hut which will be cool.

We are working all day at the shop for normal courses and retails and at night there is myself, my partner and two great trainee DMs who are doing the work. Soon we will also have a brand new BBQ Area for the members to sit and chill in the sun which their dive gear is drying on the rack!

I will be posting photo when its all done!
