August 21, 2008 - Another Business Award Nomination!
Just after I made that Last entry we were notified that we have been nominated for another award. This one being the Toukley Business Chamber Awards. Not as big I know but an honor just the same.
We had the juding panel come in and visit today at the Scuba Shack in Toukley so lets hope they love it as much as my members and customers do.

June 21, 2008 - Getting a makeover for Scuba SHack
MAKE OVER
Well its that time of year again when the weather isnt brilliant and the storms are messing everything up!, I have once again decided to give the shop a make over.
So far i have added in the White Slat Walling, built a new Fill area, painted walls, and laid a floating floor in the training room. Its all looking really nice. Soon we will have a brand new counter that will resemble an island hut which will be cool.
We are working all day at the shop for normal courses and retails and at night there is myself, my partner and two great trainee DMs who are doing the work. Soon we will also have a brand new BBQ Area for the members to sit and chill in the sun which their dive gear is drying on the rack!
I will be posting photo when its all done!

May 30, 2008 - Scuba Olympics
On 25th May Scuba Shack competed in the 2008 Scuba Olympics............and we were the Overall winners on the day. A great time was had by all and new friendships were formed!

What an amazing, beautifully photographed, heart wrenching film! I really think all schools should see this, I am still crying, how can we be such a cruel cruel race? I wanted to slap myself and behalf of the sharks.

May 20, 2008 - Diving South West Rocks
Once again dived South West Rocks, just south of Coffs Harbour on the weekend. The boys at South West Rocks didnt dissapoint and provided an excellent weekend of diving. With over 60 sharks in the one small area for me to gaze at I took hundreds of photos!
And again the cave... well what can i say ... again and again it just is a fantastic dive!
I will have photos to come in the next day or so so stay tuned!

Sometimes I wonder why i do this??? I mean I run a great business with great customers and have fun doing so. Then I just takes one person to make it shitty.
This person is of course a new competitor of mine who is so childish and immoral that he has now taken to emailing me threats and hiding his email from me and giving fake details! GROW UP DUDE! I cant help it if im better than you!

Well I thought moving the shop was a hideous effort. Jesus dont move a 4 bedroom house into a 3 bedroom house!!! If i never ever move again it will be too soon.

August 7, 2007 - DAM ITS COLD
Ive never really been one for not diving in Winter! BUT this winter its hideous! Lee and Greg have both gone the dry suit option and I am serviously thinking about it! Finally the water is clearing up after this revolting weather we had and its time to see those little pjs but i just cant bring myself to go. Tomorrow is a Swansea Bridge Dive so i might get in and have a look around..........I doubt it!
I miss it.... The others are now in the Solomon Islands diving in beautiful pristine water. I HATE THEM!

If there is one thing i hate it is having to tell people they cant learn to dive today. it puts me in a bad situation and I feel terrible. So those who ever want to learn to dive please dont show up drunk or hung over!
