What is MyDivingLife Mobile?

Mobile Settings

Now you can post your blog from your email account or even mobile phone (mobile phone in testing mode yet....)
If you want to begin posting entries from your mobile phone or email address, follow these steps:

Acces your User acount and Turn on mobile blogging .
Enter one or more email addresses from which you will be sending your entries. This can include your phone's mobile email address.
Choose whether or not you want to immediately publish your mobile entries. If you choose not to publish them immediately, they will be saved as drafts and not displayed on your blog.

Once you send your message using your mobile phone or email account, your blog post, will be published and/or kept as a draft. Please give 20 minutes for the emails and messages to arrive to MyDivinglife server....

New system up in MyDiving Life

After one year, it was time to upgrade MydivingLife and give you guys some reason to blog more...

The new services are:

* Messages between users
* A better panel control.

* Your own Mydivinglife album (each user has it's own album link to their blog)
* Mobile Blogging.... (soon you will be able to blog from your email account).

* Create your own template Guide

* More Blog capacity. (10 MG now!).

As many of you saw, we have been attacked by Spammers. Simply another action of sad people, with sad lifes... and for sure non social, sexual or intelectual life.

BIG TIME LOOSERS.

Anyway, we are always ready to have a little fight against them, and some actions have been taken to prevent this to happen again.

How to Market your Diving Blog??

Stolen from the net.... may be it works...

Put your blog URL in your email signature. Whenever I see a blog url in an email signature, I always click on it to see who I'm dealing with. Especially if it's someone I've never met. Email gets forwarded all the time so even if you only send out a five notes a day to friends, the potential number of people clicking over to your blog is in the thousands. (That is of course completely theoretical, but you get my drift?it's worth it.) I can't give you specific instructions on how to edit your email client's signature because I don't know which one you use, but poke around. It's somewhere in the settings.

Link to other blogs. This is a great way to get traffic. Here's what happens when you link to another MyDivingLife members: she sees you in her referral logs, checks out your blog, and then very likely links back to you or at the very least makes a mental note to do so.

Be an active commenter. Try to leave comments on the blogs you read every day. This is in the same vein as linking. Leaving a comment on someone's post can make their day. Nothing beats getting those email notifications that whisper tacitly out at you from the screen, "You're thoughts have struck me dead in my tracks. I simply must acknowledge you and your greatness." (Or something to that effect.) Most comment systems also provide a way for you to leave a link back to your blog which begs a visit at the very least. So if you feel inspired, leave a comment or two in your blog travels. It behooves you.

As many of you know we have join energy with StuckonScuba. www.stuckonscuba.com to start promoting the Forum and get some feedback from users in MyDivingLife ... this is a really good news and we are please for that.

Also www.stuckonscuba.com will give a few wicked gifts to the winner of MyDivingLife photo contest.....

Also as GOOD news, MyDivingLife is launching MyDivingLife Version 2.

Yes, if you though that MDL was just simply amazing... well, think again! We are upgrading the main core system of MyDivingLife so you can have more features.

This are some of the changes:

Users can now have multiple weblogs.

Weblog owners can add other members (co-authors).
Added photo albums. (I know many of you will love this..)
Improved file uploading system, now includes thumbnails.
Added private message system. (So you can send PM to each other...)
Improved user profile page.
Added member search page, results include thumbnails.
Added moblog (mobile blogging) capability. (You will be able to blog via email!!! )
Added several new templates. (As always we all love more templates)
Added calendar template variables. (So can change your template depending of the time of the year... sweet!)
Added image upload feature directly on WYSIWYG entry composer.
Improved horizontal menu system and default skin.
Profile fields now linked on profile page, users can be listed by any field.

Well we are not 100% sure when this will be up and ready but for sure will happen soon....

Small news

Ok. We have reach a new level in stats in MDL.

It seems we have the "usual bloggers" and some times we get the "visitors bloggers" and we get also the "guest bloggers"...

I believe that sooner or later we will start improving the size of this community. (Hey... are not even 2 months old yet!)

Anyway, the stats are growing and as good news we are getting in average 190 visitors per day. and over 5000 hits per day.

Yesterday for example we ogt over 279 visitors (unique visitors...) so hopefully more people will join soon...

I'm also planning to create a small contest.... a strange and funny contest between the users.

In the next month, new features will be added to the forum as Messages System, more capacity, photo gallery, etc...
