Oh how I love thaw!Looks like the Midwest is finally de-icing from the winter, and diving may soon be amoung us!HOWDY GANG! Miss me?  I am looking forward to the new diving season, and maybe taking a real trip this year. Hope everyone is doing well! It is now too cold to dive, but that means more time to post on MDL & SOS! I know we have had a discussion on SOS about cold water and Ice diving. Seems that August/September aer always the worst moths for me because we are starting school and there is so much to prepare for. Alas, everything else I love must go to the wayside...only temporary though.I am very much in the need to dive and get some relaxation in, but I have been sick, so it will be a while. My charity project is also going well. Nothing makes me feel better than knowing I am helping someone else live out a dream. :) I am going to try to get a dive in this weekend. Only when it is 50/50 chance of rain does it rain against me when I want to dive!! He had to work yesterday, so it would have been night diving...or more like Dusk to Dawn diving. Anyhow, then there was the Harley ride planned for today...I am getting use to motorcycles, since I had a bad experience when I was younger, I havent ridden on a motorcycle in about 17 years. Anyhow, I trust him implicitly, so I am learning to enjoy the ride. Maybe next weekend will yield some better weather more suitable for diving. Anyhow, we are holding out hope. I was thinking of getting a dry suit, but wasnt sure if it was worth the expense. Not sure what the rest of you think about them, or your experiences. I just know I will NEVER do a 7 mm suit again! ewww! lol And on a personal note, the drama that seemed to unfold here a week back, well I will "woman-up" and apologize to those involved. I think I am a pretty loyal friend and when I feel like a friend is getting hurt, I feel a need to protect & defend. I hope there are no bad feelings. I am the only girl, which shouldnt be an issue, but we have an "Alpha Male" who is prior military who thinks that he is the stuff! I have been diving for ten years, and he was recently certified, and he is giving me advice!! Telling me what to do because I am a female! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! And to make matters worse, he not only insulted my intelligence, he called me a "Femme Nazi" because I didnt need his help on something. Nothing pisses me off more! I came to dive, learn and have fun! And the icing on the cake was that I let him get so inside my head that I about lost it underwater. I have NEVER paniced! Even when I was in Bonaire and got stuck inbetween some coral on a night dive at Town Pier.... I NEVER PANIC! So Bill, that was my day! Wish I was in Catalina!!!!!!!!
