9/4/2005 - Renewing Old Friendships

After a five week absence from the rocky reefs of Marineland I returned today to visit old friends and nudibranchs. I was not disappointed.

Moving slowly from one rock to the next, we discovered an octopus in nearly every crack and more nudis than we could shake a kelp stipe at. One problem with moving slowly at Marineland; it gets cold! 56F feels even colder when you're not generating any heat by swimming. We headed back toward the beach, passing more octopus, nudibranchs, anemones and gorgonian along the way.
