4/6/2009 - Retirement At Sea

Merry retired last week after 32 years at Harbor UCLA. Captain Andy, a semi-retired kind of guy himself invited us out for Merry's first post-retirement dives aboard the Moby Kate. Topside conditions couldn't have been better. Flat seas, warm, clear sky. If only the bottom was as nice. We had harbor water as far out as the Olympic II and the nearby reefs. We later learned that everyone else out there had great conditions just a few miles away. We must have brought the Phil and Merry curse with us. Still, we had a wonderful day on the water followed by another great lunch at Prontos. We couldn't have asked for a better time.
