2/25/2007 - The Move Is Over. Time To Get Back To The Sea

I've spent the past week moving from San Pedro California to Torrance, about fifteen miles away. Not a big move, but fortunately the dive conditions were bad this week so I didn't miss much. Last night we went to the annual California Wreck Divers Banquet to hear the guest speakers John Chatterton and Richie Kohler from Deep Sea Detectives. They were extremely informative as well as entertaining. The entire evening took six hours, so our early morning wake up for a whale watch trip came earler than I would have liked.

 We headed out of Los Angeles Harbor led by John Olguin, Founder emeritus of the Cabrillo Marine Museum. Merry spent most of the trip soaking up some of his wealth of local knowledge. Jeff and Sue Shaw went to lunch afterward with us followed by the last of the move, my television. I have another week off to recuperate from the move and hopefully get in a few dives with my new strobe. In the meantime, here are some surface shots from today.
