1/4/2007 - The Squids Are Alright

We found a couple dozen squid at Vet's last night, including a few mating pairs. Most were between 60-70 feet but we found one in about 15 feet. Vis was bad in most places with a few spots opening up to ten feet. The shallow water was very surgey, which made it difficult to photograph the numerous Dendronotus frondosus nudis. As Merry and I exited in the growing surf Roger Carlson was there to take pictures of us. Fortunately we managed to get out with all of our gear intact and no pratfalls.
