Wreckreational Diving

12/7/2006 - New Forest

A few weeks ago there were a few single kelp plants coming back along the edge of the reefs at Marineland. Today there is a full-fledged forest growing. Kelp can grow as fast as two feet per day. Hopefully the Winter storms will be mild this year so the forest can spread across the reef.

Evil Jeff and I have been planning to build an artificial reef somewhere at Marineland. Florida has Christ of the Abyss. England has the Gnome Garden. Rancho Palos Verdes now has Our Lady of the Garden. More to come.
