Singapore's Khoo Swee Chiow has set a new world record for the
longest scuba tank dive (a scuba dive in a tank), at 212 hours and 30
minutes. Source. He never left the tank in that time.

Khoo before his record dive
The previous record was set by British diver Michael Steven in
1986. Khoo stayed underwater longer by an extra seven hours and
30 minutes.
Khoo was on a 100 percent liquid diet during the record dive.
Every two hours, he took between 200 to 400ml of liquid like
fruit beverages and isotonic drinks. Khoo got toilet breaks in a
special cubicle within the tank.
I bet he could use some take-out food right about now.
You might remember my blog entry a while back when
Stefania Mensa and Stefano Barbaresi set a 10-day world
record for longest ocean dive, but they cheated (they got to enter
a dry chamber every so often).
