two dives at the Orange Grove Sink (still without any duckweed).  Chuck

(smokeaire from ScubaBoard) and i did two dives, both into the Orange

Grove Sink cave.

the cavern here goes a good ways back, perhaps 50 feet?  at that point,

the warning sign signals the beginning of the gold line.  the cave is

relatively low from ceiling to floor, so good silt control is very important,

especially for us beginners.

one of my favorite spots on the cave is what i call "Rust Mountain."  as you

come along the floor, you suddenly run into what looks like a pretty steep

mudslide that you have to get over to continue. the rocks look red, and

there are some ores that are orange-red as well.  it looks like a rusted

mountain, hence my nickname for the place.

                      Total Time     Max Depth     Penetration

Dive 1               37 min.          70 feet           400 + feet

Dive 2               46 min.          70 feet           500 + feet

Caves are one thing I avoid penetrating. Same with wrecks (well, usually). However I'm glad you're posting your experiences so we can live vicariously through them!
