Morro Bay

Marina side of 'The Rock'

Calm waters

No surf, swells, or surge

Viz:  5-10'

Temp:  52' degrees Suunto

Max Depth:  26'

Bottom Time:  37"

Ahhhhhhhhh....much better conditions today and much easier entry and exit!  Used up the other half of our tanks from yesterday rather than using a fresh tank.  Viz was pretty good.  John spotted a couple of decorator crabs, I spotted a couple of 'blue' Ling Cods that had most likely just eaten; strawberry sea anemones were everywhere; then BAM!  Dozens of Nudibranchs....Hermissenda's of some sort, then Salted Dorids and White Spotted Protostomes (is there a difference?~slight?); Rock Fish; huge Pismo Clam shells; white Tube Worms of some sort; and the usual suspects of Greenlings, Bugs, Black Eyed Gobys, ect.  Strangely, I didn't see any Giribaldi's???  Too cold?  I don't know.    Towards the end of our dive, I noticed itty, bitty white spots dotting the reef.  Low and behold, baby nudi's!!!  Too cute...so TINY!

On the surface, Sea Otters frolicked about.   Unfortunately, we didn't see any while we were underwater.  Exited the water right under our SUV.  Gotta luv it!

Would have loved to use our other tanks, but John was a bit chilled.  Oh well....the bay, I will definitely dive again...someday.
