Roatan Pics....Roatan Baby, Roatan Underwater!

Posted in Unspecified

Trumpet Fish...hiding vertically to make himself look like the surrounding corals and sponges.

I really love this shot...captures my feelings re diving in all its beauty and serenity.

One of the many reefs with an abundance of marine life and fish!

I was hanging out doing my safety stop while this Giant Black Grouper decided to join me.

Another 'serenity' shot.  I believe I took this shot off of Coco View Wall

.....more marine abundance which drops off to a deep wall to the left.

Arrow Crab and Unknown Sea Anemone on the Prince Albert ship wreck off FIBR/ Coco View

I found myself in the midst of a skool of Bat Angel Fish at 40 Foot Point.  One of my highlights.

....and I was fortunate to get this nice shot of a Butterfly Fish.

I was really taken back by all the different Feather Duster Worms and the beauty that they posess.

Oh....and no dive would be complete without a moray.  This little guy is a Spotted Moray.  Those that know me, know that I LOVE eels!!!  You will always find me with my nose in the rocks looking for these critters.

EEEwwwwwwwwwwe....Fish Breath anyone?  Those look like pretty sharp teeth!  Say Cheese!

Finally, a Sea Horse.  We saw quite a few over the six days of diving.  All colors and sizes too.

Well, this of course is just a taste of what we saw.  I highly recommend diving FIBR.  I have friends that have stayed at Cocoview, but I hear they don't have the wild life or the activities that FIBR has to offer.

If you have dove Cozumel, you will like Roatan.  I think I like Roatan just a tad more, for there are more deep 'walls' to dive than Cozumel.  I also like the fact that you can get pretty deep right from the resort (Newman's Wall and Coco View Wall) plus, there is the Prince Albert Wreck to explore.

If I hadn't mentioned it earlier, one of our highlights of our trip was doing the Canopy tour aka Zip Lining.  Whew!  What fun we had zipping through the jungle and climbing and crossing a multitude of bridges.  I will be BACK!
